This Privacy Policy explains how Dopplio collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our AI resume review service (the “Service”). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and only as described here.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Dopplio is operated by Dopplio Labs, a sole proprietorship based in Costa Rica, and is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at ascerola@dopplio.ai.

2. Data we collect

Account & identity data — your email address, name, and authentication details, managed through our identity provider (Clerk).
Resume & job content — the resumes you upload and any job descriptions or text you provide for analysis and tailoring.
Usage data — information about how you interact with the Service, such as scans run and features used, used to operate and improve the product.
Payment data — when you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; we receive limited transaction metadata (such as plan, status, and billing country) from Stripe.

3. How we use your data

To provide the Service — analyzing your resume and generating feedback, scores, and tailored suggestions.
To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
To process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud.
To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and important changes.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your resume content to train third-party AI models for purposes unrelated to providing the Service to you.

4. Service providers we share data with

We share data with a small number of trusted service providers (processors) strictly to operate the Service:

Clerk — authentication and account management.
Stripe — payment processing for purchases and subscriptions.
OpenAI and Anthropic — AI providers that process your resume and job content to generate the analysis and suggestions you request.
Microsoft Azure — secure cloud storage for your uploaded resume files and generated documents.

These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own security and confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

5. Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary for the Service to function — for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention & deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing ascerola@dopplio.ai.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ascerola@dopplio.ai. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. International data transfers

We and our service providers may process your data in countries other than Costa Rica, including the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
