Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 4, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Dopplio (the “Service”), including our website, applications, and related features. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Dopplio is operated by Dopplio Labs, a sole proprietorship based in Costa Rica(“Dopplio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us at ascerola@dopplio.ai.

2. The Service

Dopplio is an AI-powered tool that reviews, scores, and helps you tailor your resume for specific roles. The Service provides automated feedback and suggestions to help improve your resume.

Dopplio is provided for informational purposes only. Our feedback, scores, and suggestions are generated by automated systems and do not constitute professional career, recruitment, legal, or financial advice, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome, including interviews or job offers. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use any output.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is handled on our behalf by our identity provider (Clerk).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you do not have the right to share, or another person’s personal data without their permission.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the Service or its underlying systems.
  • Resell, sublicense, or attempt to circumvent usage limits, plan restrictions, or security measures.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are engaged in abuse or fraud.

5. Plans, billing & payments

Dopplio offers a free tier and paid plans. Pricing and plan features are described at the point of purchase.

Payments are processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe, which handles checkout, payment processing, and billing on our behalf. We do not store your full card details.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or quarterly, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges through Stripe until you cancel.

6. Fair use

Pro plans (monthly and quarterly) include unlimited job applications, subject to fair use. Fair use is currently defined as up to 200 applications per calendar month of your billing cycle — several times what an intensive job search requires. If you reach this limit, application processing pauses until your monthly allowance resets; no additional charges are incurred.

Usage patterns indicating automated, scripted, or commercial-scale use (for example, bulk processing on behalf of third parties) may be throttled or suspended. We may adjust the fair-use threshold with notice; changes will never reduce it below typical individual job-search usage.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us at ascerola@dopplio.ai. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, and it will not renew thereafter. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your content), is owned by Dopplio and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the resumes and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to analyze it and generate feedback). You also retain the feedback and tailored output generated for you.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any results will be accurate or reliable.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dopplio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located in Costa Rica, except where applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
