Resume for Consum: how to apply and what they ask for

Dopplio TeamNovember 1, 2026 · 6 min read

To send your resume to Consum, you have to register on its job portal, "Trabaja con nosotros" (Work with us) at trabajaconnosotros.consum.es. The cooperative itself says so in its help center. There you can see openings in stores, platforms and offices, apply for the one that fits you, and attach your CV. Each offer lists its requirements, and your resume has to show them clearly and in a form the system can read.

In short
  • You send your resume by registering on the Consum job portal.
  • Openings are in three areas: Stores, Platforms and Offices.
  • Each offer publishes its requirements and its salary: read it before you adapt your CV.
  • Upload a single-column CV, with real text and the offer's requirements easy to find.

How to send your resume to Consum, step by step

To the question "How can I send you my CV?", the Consum help center answers that you have to register your details on its job website. The process is this:

  1. Go to the "Trabaja con nosotros" (Work with us) portal, from consum.es/trabaja-en-consum or directly at trabajaconnosotros.consum.es.
  2. Search for openings by keyword (for example, "vendedor" or "reposición") and by location.
  3. Open the offer and read its requirements and conditions.
  4. Click "Inscríbete" (Apply) and register with your email address.
  5. Fill in your details and attach your CV. If you already have an account, sign in via "Accede a tu perfil" (Access your profile).

If there is nothing in your area, the portal lets you create a job alert to receive new offers that match your search.

The portal runs on SAP SuccessFactors, recruitment software widely used by large companies. It is the system that receives your resume, so it is worth making sure the file reads properly (we cover this below).

Requirements for working at Consum: what a real offer asks for

Consum does not publish a general list of requirements: each offer sets its own. To show you what they look like, this is a store offer from its portal (checked in November 2026), "Vendedor/a Caja - Reposición Navàs (Comarca del Bages)".

It asks for:

  • Compulsory secondary education (ESO).
  • An interest in understanding customers' needs.
  • Support and collaboration with colleagues.
  • A drive to improve, enthusiasm and proactivity.
  • Residence in Navàs or nearby towns.

It offers:

  • A permanent contract.
  • €19,000 to €20,000 gross a year.
  • Training adapted to your needs and interests.

The job involves serving and advising customers on the shop floor, informing customers about the store's range, handling products correctly, and keeping the work area tidy and clean. Other offers will have other requirements and another salary; always check the specific offer.

How to prepare your CV for Consum

With the offer in front of you, the job is to make your CV say the same thing with your facts. If the offer asks for ESO, your education should appear with its name and year. If it asks for experience with customers and teamwork, your experience should show it with something concrete: "worked the checkout on afternoon shifts", "restocked the fresh produce section with two colleagues". If you have never worked before, see how to do it in resume with no experience: many store jobs are a good first job.

Then there is the file. Recruitment systems like Consum's usually extract the text from the CV, and a PDF reader does not see your resume the way you do: it reads the text layer in the order the file was built. Two-column templates, with a sidebar, icons or a photo in the header, are the ones that come out worst. The mechanism is explained in whether the ATS reads columns and tables.

A fictional example (the data is invented): a candidate from Valencia with her CV in a two-column template.

The name appears in the middle of the text, the contact details at the end, and the education (exactly what the offer asks for) is separated from its job title. Whoever reviews the application sees jumbled data.

If you already have your CV in a template of that kind, you do not need to redo it: the Dopplio ATS resume converter takes your PDF and returns the same content in a single column, with real text and standard sections. It does not rewrite anything; it changes the layout. And leave the photo out of the file you upload: we explain why in resume with or without a photo.

Why Consum is different: a cooperative

Consum is a cooperative, and its job portal puts this front and centre. According to its job site:

  • More than 95% of its workforce is permanent or worker-members.
  • Worker-members have a voice and a vote in management, and share in the profits: the portal mentions €65.5 million distributed "this year".
  • Training is adapted to the job and takes place during working hours.
  • They fill almost 100% of promotions with people who already work in the cooperative.

For your application, the practical reading is that getting into a store can be the way into other roles: almost all promotions are filled from within.

Are you also applying to other companies?

The same single-column CV works on other portals. We have guides on sending your resume to Mercadona, whose portal can fill in your profile by reading your PDF, and on sending your resume to Inditex, Zara included.
